Megan Nelms has been the County Planner and Zoning Administrator for Campbell County Wyoming for 5 years where she is responsible for the County’s overall planning, nuisance mitigation and permitting functions. She has also served as the Planning Intern for the City of Gillette, Wyoming and Albany County Wyoming. She was born and raised in Gillette, Wyoming and enjoys being a part of the growth and development of the community she grew up in.

Megan received her B.S. degree in Geography and Planning from the University of Wyoming in and her M.S. degree from South Dakota State University in Rural Sociology and Community Development in 2010. Megan is active with the local Campbell County Economic Development Corporation and the Northeast Wyoming Economic Development. In 2010 she was awarded Planner of the Year – New Professional by the Wyoming Planning Association (WYOPASS). She also serves as Vice-President of WYOPASS.

Megan is excited to be part of NACP leadership and expanding her professional relationships with county planners from around the nation.
